GẠCH
VIET TEA HOUSE
-
Gạch in Vietnamese often translates to different meanings, there is gạch as brick(s), there is also gạch as an underline in writing, and finally there is gạch as floor tile, which primarily represents the foundation of Gạch Viet’s Teahouse.
Located in the densely populated area of Portland State University campus, under the iconic clock tower, GẠCH is a joint creative effort between Harmony and our everlasting passion for Vietnamese beverage & cuisines.
Every project we have built has gạch, every gạch has a pattern, and every pattern tells a story, especially the ones that are rooted deep in the Indochine period. Indochine is also our focal theme in stylizing the Gạch establishment. This is NOT how we reminisce about a time of oppression and colonialism, but rather how we have adapted, embraced, and evolved the Western visual expression into a signature of our own.
Consider Gạch as a private exhibition where you can learn about Harmony's story and our achievements in recent years, as well as to indulge yourself to some quiet time with our rigorously sorted selections of loose leaf tea coming from the central highlands of Vietnam.
Our Quickbites menu is made from our fresh local produce and imported ingredients without any preservatives.
We take pride in both sourcing and making these genuine delicacies as they serve our purpose of bringing a taste of Vietnamese green cuisines to the city of Portland, so swing by when you have a chance and, by all means, show your truest impression of what Gach has to offer.
